My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Holly’s story is unfortunately like so many others.. She was in an overcrowded Texas shelter at risk of being euthanized simply due to space. She had just had a litter of puppies, was emaciated and nursing. Holly is extremely sweet, but does need you to go at her pace. She can be nervous meeting new people, men in particular. She prefers you play hard to get and ignore her. Then she will look to come say hello to you. Once she feels safe she quickly warms up and becomes your shadow. Fast movements and loud noises make her nervous as well, so an active person with a quiet home would be best. She is very playful and jumpy but can also be a couch potato. Due to her nervousness she needs to be in a home with no small children. She does well with dogs and cats.

Home Check

We ask for a virtual home tour (pictures or videos) Can be submitted through the application or when we contact.

3.
Interview

We will discuss what your looking for and if the current pet fits that or match you with someone who does . Done via phone.

4.
Approve Application

There is 3 days from time of approved app to determine a meet and greet

5.
Meet the Pet

All household members must be present and any current dogs.

6.
Sign Adoption Contract

Fee is paid. Adoption photo (if adopter is okay with ) is taken

7.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We keep our applications on file for a year. We try very hard for the best match all around. Definitely can switch the dog you applied for if a better fit is found.

We are a foster based rescue so unles we have am adoption event (usually hosted at appleton petsmart) we require an approved application on file to make an appointment to see whom interests you.
