My name is Dudley!

- Happy boy who likes to interact but also loves doing his own thing and sniffing all the smells; will likely open up in a home environment once he's had time to decompress

- Likes to say hi to everyone he meets and see if anyone is hiding treats anywhere!

- Enjoys playing with toys and loves to have fun

- Recently got to spend some time outside of the shelter with a human friend, who said he did great meeting new people and going in and out of pet-friendly stores; Dudley also did amazing in the car and on his leash!

- Knows sit, shake, and down; will sit for treats without being asked

- Loves to learn and has great focus, so would be a lot of fun to teach even more skills

- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him, so he'll be most comfortable in a mature home

- Can struggle to interact appropriately with other dogs and may not be interested in having other dog friends; needs to be the only dog in his new home

The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
