- Loves sitting in the sun, being petted and spending time with his favorite people; can be uncertain at first and need some time to warm up, but once he feels comfortable with you he's a pretty sweet guy

- Knows sit and shake

- Seems interested in squeaky toys and may become more playful once he is in a home environment

- Can be socially awkward with other dogs and tends to be a linebacker-type player, which some dogs may not appreciate; will likely do best with a select group of rough-and-tumble dog friends with a similar play style (dog intro recommended)

- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him; will be happiest in a calm, mature home

- Really gorgeous dog who will be a great friend for a calm, patient person who will give him time to settle in

The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
