My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aster is a happy, outgoing AmStaff who simply loves every human she meets, especially the little ones. She gets along with other dogs unless someone growls or gets aggressive with her then she is ready to rumble; she would do well as an only dog or with other dogs that like a peaceful environment.

Aster is house and crate trained, although as an only dog she would be fine not using a crate. She is crated for meals and when no one is home in her foster home, along with most everyone else simply because there are several other animals.

She would love to have her family to totally devote herself to and take care of. She is totally engaged and observant; ready to do what is asked of her.

Aster is fully vetted, current with vaccines, spayed; micro chipped; and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

More about this rescue

Hillcrest Animal Rescue is a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to saving as many homeless, neglected and abused animals as our resources allow. All of our rescues are placed in loving foster homes and receive thorough medical care. Each companion animal is heartworm tested and treated if positive; placed on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention; altered and micro chipped. Every animal receives a full complement of vaccines depending on risk and immune status. Chronic pain is not acceptable with animals in our care. We will take whatever measures are necessary to ensure that all of our animals are living free of pain and disease. To summarize our belief in veterinary care, any animal at Hillcrest Rescue receives the same level of veterinary care as if she or he were the only animal we have.
