Four girl babies and their mama (Zooey) were left outside an apartment building in a small crate in early January. We don't know anything about them other than that. It was very cold and we are grateful they were able to get to us before it was extremely cold when they likely would not have survived. All of the puppies have found wonderful forever homes. Zooey is spayed now and ready to find her forever home too. She was a wonderful mom, but she deserves to start her own puppy-free life now with a family to love.
We think Zooey is about a two-year-old Pit mix, and weighs 44 lbs. She has the most beautiful bright blue eyes. She crates overnight without a peep, is housebroken, takes correction well, and is treat-motivated. She gets along well with dogs of all sizes in her foster home. She may need a minute to get to know strangers, but once she knows you she is very friendly and playful.
If you think you might want to give this sweet pup a home, please email jojosdogrescue@gmail.com and we will send you an application, or visit our website: www.jojosdoghouse.com and download one. Adoption fee is $250, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, parasite treatment, and microchip with lifetime registration.
Please visit our Facebook page JoJo's DogHouse (non-profit) to learn more about us and see many of the dogs we have rescued. We hope you'll join JoJo's family of adopters!

We are foster based, so meet and greets are set up after approval. Email applications to jojosdogrescue@gmail.com
2.
Approve Application
We are pretty much a two-person operation, but usually our application review process is fast -- often the same day as received.
3.
Meet the Pet
With application pre-approved, adopters are able to take a pup home from their meet and greet if they are ready and the pup is old enough
Additional adoption info
We have an application process and we will check vet and personal references (usually takes only 1-2 days). There is also an adoption contract and fee which helps to cover vet and other expenses. The contract is designed to ensure the dog is cared for in all ways and if you are ever unable to care for the dog, re-homing is approved by us. If the dog is too young to be spayed/neutered before going home, you will also sign a document committing to having the dog fixed and the rescue will follow up.

We do not have a shelter open to the public. Visits are arranged on an individual basis.
We are all volunteers and do our best to accommodate everyone.
