Crate trained: No- has improved over first 2 weeks of fostering. He does ok up to 4 hours.
Good in the car: Yes
Good on a leash: Some pulling, will need assertive handler.
Energy level: Low-medium
Need a fenced in yard: Yes, or kept on leash.
Dog Friendly: Yes
If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? Might help to get him adjusted to routine, but not required.
Cat Friendly? Yes
Kid Friendly: Yes
If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Small children not recommended as Toffee does not have the best manners at this time. 10 and older recommended.
Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Toffee is an amazingly sweet dog. His deafness does present a challenge as he is just now learning manners, so some experience with deaf dogs would be helpful. He will need a strict routine and someone who is patient with him while he learns. He is a great size at 40lbs, however some strength is required to redirect him. He will try to get things off the counter and table if he thinks food or water is up there.
