My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Bonded Pair - Chip

Honey is an approximately 1 year-old, 16 pound best of all breeds, AKA a mutt. Sweet Honey was found in a field with a group of 6 pups, including her friend, Chip

Honey is an extraordinarily sweet dog. She is so affectionate, she seeks out physical contact as much as possible, preferably on your lap or chest. When she’s feeling playful, she loves to play fetch or play with squeaky toys. When it comes to any activity, she follows Chip's lead. Otherwise, she’s cuddled up with her humans.

Honey came to SVPP very shut down, but once we placed her with Chip, she followed his lead and started to relax and trust. Honey still needs lots of practice on leash and she is working on her potty training - she already knows how to use the doggie door!

Ideally, she will be adopted with Chip. His presence and example of curiosity allows her to feel safe and be curious too. If he’s not around, she hides and is quite timid.

Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.

Go meet their pets

We operate Pup Plaza (www.pupplaza.org), Silicon Valley's first dog community center where we have weekly adoption events. If you are interested in meeting one of our adoptable dogs at Pup Plaza, please contact adoptions@svpetproject.org.

Kittens and dogs (and some cats) are in foster care with volunteers. After completing an application, a meet and greet can be arranged.
