Meet Maeve. This precious Heeler mix is about 4 months old and currently weighs 31 pounds. She is friendly and playful but is a dominant little girl so other dogs will need to be ok with her rough play. She would probably do best with older children. Maeve is an energetic and smart girl so she might knock down smaller children. Maeve is working on her leash manners. She is spayed, microchipped, has started her vaccines and heartworm prevention. You can adopt her for $85.

More about this rescue
The Humane Society of Stillwater operates an adoption guaranteed, nonprofit shelter that exists on donations from the public. We house dogs and cats here until they are adopted permanently into good homes. The Humane Society shares a building with the City Animal Welfare shelter, and aids in the adoption of animals there. Stillwater's Animal Welfare division can only hold animals for a limited time period; at the end of that period, they are euthanized. Whenever space is available, the Humane Society takes in those animals that are at risk of being euthanized.
