My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sunshine is the happiest girl who loves water, romping around in the woods, and playing with other dogs. She's been around cats since she came to the rescue a few months ago. She weighs around 35 lbs and is about 6 months old. She is very friendly and sweet. Be sure to watch the videos. Based on her looks, she is probably a Carolina dog mix or Dingo mix or Kelpie mix but of course we don't know for sure.
Her and her two sisters were living in a home that was right on the highway with no fence and I saw them sitting in the road on multiple occasions. When I saw an adult dog deceased on the road right in front of the house, I asked the owners if they would surrender the puppies and they did and that's how Sunshine was saved from being run over by a car eventually.
Sunshine is currently in Oklahoma where she was rescued, but can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. We have frequent transports to the locations below. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport locations. There is no possibility to do a meet and greet. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on the next transport until a new home is found.

More about this rescue

Oklahoma Licensed Rescue Number 95

Oklahoma is a bad place for animals. It's the only state that saw an increase in shelter euthanasia rates in 2019. 2020 probably didn't look any different. Strays everywhere, people dumping dogs in the country to fend for themselves, litters of puppies and kittens because people are too cheap or too lazy to fix their pets.

We help these poor souls and find them loving homes in northern states.
