My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/XX4lK1vQ8bc

Enya is a stunning girl with a wonderful personality. She is great with other dogs and with cats. She lives with both currently. She is very friendly and loves kisses. Due to having fend for herself prior to coming to our rescue, she sometimes growls if other dogs eat right next her, but he has never escalated to anything beyond that and she eats with other dogs every day. She spends her days lounging with other dogs and with the cats. The little ones like to use her a headrest. She walks well on the leash and also does well off leash. She does well in a crate too and goes to the door when she needs to potty. She is a great girl who deserves the best after what she has been through.

Her previous owners let her get pregnant by neighborhood dogs and then once she was pregnant they didn't want to deal with her anymore so she started going to the neighboring houses for food. One neighbor spoke to the owners about her and the owners told them to just shoot her (yes, that is legal in Oklahoma sadly). Luckily this person was a caring person and reached out to our rescue instead so this beautiful girl could get a new lease on life.

Enya is currently still in Oklahoma but can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on the next transport until a new home is found.

More about this rescue

Oklahoma Licensed Rescue Number 95

Oklahoma is a bad place for animals. It's the only state that saw an increase in shelter euthanasia rates in 2019. 2020 probably didn't look any different. Strays everywhere, people dumping dogs in the country to fend for themselves, litters of puppies and kittens because people are too cheap or too lazy to fix their pets.

We help these poor souls and find them loving homes in northern states.
