My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome guy is Alexander, and he has been with the rescue since February because his previous owner had medical issues and could no longer care for him.  It is obvious that Alexander was loved as he is well mannered, but likes to jump to give hugs, but is leash and crate trained and does very well with other dogs and children.

Alexander would be a good fit for anyone as he would do well on his own or with playmates in the home; could easily be trained to be a running or hiking partner, or just play with your family and go for long walks.

Alexander is two years old, and we think he is a Shepherd and Husky mix, those eyes are very telling of his breed.

Alexander has done so well at adoption events and would just like a family of his own

If you are interested in adopting Alexander, please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt.

***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.***
