My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lizabeth is a 2-year-old hound mix who hasn’t had the best life so far and needs someone to love and care for her. She was a mama who is now spayed and is up to date on all shots. She is very timid and skittish. She does not like loud noises or sudden movements. She seems to be house trained and likes to cuddle with people she trusts. She likes to be outside and does great on a leash. She does well with other dogs that are about her size or smaller. She seems hesitant around children, but warms up to them with a proper introduction. At this time, we don’t recommend a family with small children. Lizabeth will also need a high fence and no chain linked fences. Lizabeth will do best with a home that is patient with her and shows her how dogs are supposed to be loved and treated.

If you are interested in adopting Lizabeth please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt.

***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.***
