My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This guy will melt your heart while he makes biscuits on your chest and sleeps by your side all night long. He's a curious fella who is always interested in what you're doing. And LOVES, and I mean LOVES, his treats, his wet food, and his spring toys. Sweet Hilo has been through A LOT in his short little life. A local rescuer 'bought' him from a person who was peddling him on a 'leash' (an old scarf tied around his neck) for cash. One week after he underwent neuter surgery, he developed symptoms of neurologic FIP which required 12 weeks of daily painful medication injections. And after all that, plus 12 more weeks of observation, he's still the most loving, gentle kitty and ready for a real home! He gets along ok with other cats, but doesn't need a friend for company. He much prefers human companionship of any variety. We don't know how he'd be with dogs, but we think probably fine with a slow introduction.
