My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Denny! If you can’t find me playing with my toys, you can certainly find me exploring the yard at my foster home. I’m one of the four PIPs ‘box babies’ and I’m so happy I was rescued from that cold box at only one day old and bottle fed so I could live the happiest of doggo lives. My foster mom says I’m the most well-rounded (and I don’t think she’s talking about my dazzling puppy belly). I quietly explore my surroundings, was the first to love the big outdoors and I have the best head tilt ever. I’m going to be a big dog, since I’m already such a big boy. But that means more to love and snuggle! I live in an active foster home with three human foster brothers and a big foster dog sister. I do love a good snuggle as much as I love play time. If you’re looking for a handsome, playful, miracle of a puppy to add to your family – please come meet me!

More about this rescue

PIPs key focus is dogs with special or medical needs (who we call Pip-abled), however, we have many non-PIP-abled dogs too! We made it easy to decipher PIP-abled verses non-PIP-able; simply look at each dogs picture and bio.

The Pioneers had a vision to take in the most urgent rescues no one else could which includes puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, dogs with special needs and medical cases in and around North Carolina. Our main purpose is to rescue as many dogs in need as we can with a special focus on special needs.
