My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eve is a tortured soul. She is incredibly sweet, has the loudest purr you'll ever hear, and craves a warm lap to lounge on, but she also has terrible anxiety. This leads to behavior that includes scratching at rugs, and peeing just in front of the litter boxes. We've tried everything we can think of, including giving her 3 clean, tidy litter boxes, but she still prefers to squat just in front or just next to them when she pees.

We've managed this over the past 10 years, but our first child was born about a year ago, and the stress of trying to keep him safe while keeping her comfortable has become too much to manage. We believe that unfortunately the loud, uncontrollable energy of a 1 year old kid is not helping her feel more safe and comfortable. It is likely exacerbating her behavior, and we just don't know what to do.

Our belief now is that the right home could help make her feel safe in her senior years. Someplace that offers a slower pace and a steady lap to curl up on.
