A volunteer writes: We have a secret, and you have to PROMISE not to tell. A very large bunny escaped the rabbit room. She ended up in a kennel in our dog room where she has been masquerading as a pup. She goes on leashed walks, does her business on the street, and has been eating kibble and dog treats. She has taken it as far a trying to convince us all that she is a lap dog. Honestly that one was very convincing, she chilled out on a lap for a long time being pet. We know the truth - those buck teeth and bunny ears don't lie. But we have grown fond of Will O' Wisp and don't want to blow her cover. We like having a 38 pound bun in the dog room, and if you don't tell we won't either. And if you are so inclined to meet her and take her home, you should go to the shelter and fill out an application for a dog. Be cool, don't reveal her secrets ok?
For some more...practical details, Willo and her guardian were evicted from their home. She landed with us, and we hope her family has landed somewhere safe as well. She met was noted to be outgoing with strangers, friendly with kids, and loves to be where the action is. She met a dog at the shelter and chose not to greet him, and kept her distance. She does have some medical issues which we can discuss when you meet her! She is available to most homes and you can meet her at Brooklyn ACC!
