My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

KEEP IN MIND: Puppies/Dogs are not for gift-giving occasions; they can be an 8+ year commitment.
NOTE: In most cases, breeds are best guess.

Hi! I’m Gertrude (Gertie, for short). I love to use my humans as my very own personal dog bed. I’m happiest cuddled up beside my Fosters just relaxing. I also like to play with my Foster’s cat. If you aren’t giving me attention I sometimes can give you a woof. I love to be outside playing in the yard, but just as happy having a lazy day in the house. Will you adopt me to be part of your loving family and I’ll be your little cuddle puddle?

More about this rescue

Lucky Paws Dog Rescue (LPDR) is an incorporated non-profit organization and registered Canadian charity.
Our group had a dream of forming an organization that focused on what is most important in a dog rescue - the dogs! Our goal is to help as many homeless, injured, neglected, and in need dogs as possible, while working towards larger change for animal welfare on a federal and provincial level.

We are also focused on making this a great experience for our volunteers and fosters, as we could not do this without them! Through them, we hope to not only save many homeless dogs, but also to educate and spread awareness to the general public about animal overpopulation in Canada.
