Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Wally is a stunning 1-1/2 year old male Hound (Possibly Pointer) mix who was left at the HSOV during the overnight hours on February 18, 2024 and was brought inside the shelter by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff. Wally was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.
Wally has a dark brown/brindle-and-white short smooth coat, brown spotting on his legs and throughout his coat, a long tail, and an adorable symmetrically-marked brindle face with dark brown eyes, a black button nose and dusting of white on his long slender muzzle, and large floppy ears. Wally has the cutest scruffy 'chin whiskers'.
Wally was a very frightened young man when he entered our shelter, so we took these preliminary photos on February 19th while he was enjoying fresh air in one of our outdoor kennels. Admittedly, they aren't the best quality pictures, but they actually showed his beautiful markings while he stood quietly and gazed at the camera while our photographer whispered 'sweet nothings' through the chain link enclosure.
Wally weighs 43 lbs and doesn't appear to have had any walking-on-a-leash experience, but he is an intelligent boy who will quickly master that new skill thanks to our compassionate HSOV kennel techs.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Wally was held for three days but nobody called or came looking for this handsome boy.
