My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat through our Owner Placement Program. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Little Flower is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with his current owner in San Jose. Adoption fee applies. Find out more about Owner Placement Cats.

Little Flower is an absolutely gorgeous young two year old boy with that highly sought after orange and cream colored coat and amazing copper eyes! He is a pedigreed purebred Exotic Shorthair, born and registered in France.

This sweet and loving breed has the looks and personality of a Persian albeit a bit more active than their long haired cousins. Did you know that Garfield, the lasagna loving, sarcastic cartoon cat is thought to be an Exotic Shorthair? Of course he was in a class all by himself with his wit and whimsical sarcasm. Much like his cartoon look-a-like, Little Flower has a round face with large, expressive eyes and a short nose which give him both a somewhat grumpy but endearing look. His muscular body, which is a signature trait of the breed, resembles Garfield's robust frame. Exotic Shorthairs are playful, very affectionate, loyal to family and like to be involved in what's going on around them. Their coats are short, dense and easy to maintain with an enjoyable weekly brushing.

Through no fault of his own Little Flower finds himself in the predicament of needing a new home. He is temporarily being fostered by a friend of the family. Little Flower associates very well with people and gets along with other cats. We don't know how he would do being with a dog. Perhaps a sweet natured laid back cat friendly dog could become his best friend. Sort of like Odie, who Garfield described as a "Purebred Clown".

Little Flower's last vet check was in October 2023. He was considered healthy with no serious concerns. He enjoys wet cat food with gravy, beef or salmon and is accustomed to using an automatic litter box.

It will be a lucky adopter indeed that has the opportunity to meet this handsome boy and is selected to provide him with new beginnings in a forever home.
Exotic/British Shorthair or Persian breed experience is preferred for Little Flower.

Little Flower is neutered, vaccinated, eats wet food, and is litterbox perfect.

He currently lives with his owner in San Jose.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Little Flower please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Pam at cheemers@gmail.com or 541-290-8408. If you are unable to reach Pam please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
