Mother Earth (ME) is a petite 49 pound black and tan female. She had a litter of six puppies last September that we called the Planet's Litter. A Good Samaritan took her and her puppies to a shelter when they were 2 days old. This little girl was pregnant while she was heartworm positive. She is a trouper and is now through with her treatment and ready to find her forever home.
ME is housebroken, with use of a dog door, and has pretty good house manners. She is sure she was meant to lounge on a couch or recliner. However, if you don't feel the same way, she corrects very easily. She also walks pretty well on a leash. She meets other dogs well, but doesn't care to engage in play. We call her the fun police. She would much rather be with her human. This girl LOVES people! She has not met a stranger yet.
ME loves car rides and is always ready for an adventure. She also loves food! Care must be taken when handing her treats. In her excitement she will just grab at anything. We always remind her to be gentle before the treat is extended to her.
ME is a lovely, sweet girl who would be a great addition to a family. However, she does not do well with cats.
Small critters unknown.

Additional Adoption Information
For more information and to see when this dog will be attending an Adoption Day, please see our Dogs page on our main website. (https://www.gcgsr.org/adopt_info.html) We operate within a reasonable driving distance from the Greater Sacramento area, the Central Valley down to Merced, and Lake Tahoe. A reasonable driving distance is determined by where one of our volunteers is willing to drive within our areas of service. That means we don't adopt out of our area, to Southern California, or out of state.
Puppy Requirements
We have special Requirements for Adopting a Puppy and a separate Puppy Questionnaire that must be completed on puppies. Please see our Requirements for Adopting a Puppy (https://www.gcgsr.org/puppies.html) email us at info@gcgsr.org for more information.
