Almost Home Foster Kennels, MN Lic. 132328 is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFK is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.
Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.
All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.
Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.
All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.

Shadow is 2 years of age; sporting a DOB of 10.13.2021. He is a 33#, Black, Cocker Spaniel. Shadow was surrendered to Almost Home Foster & Rescue when the dynamics of his home life changed drastically.
Shadow is looking for his furever and home and family. Shadow does well with all adults and kids. Shadow likes slow introductions to new environments, people, and situations. He has had several drastic changes in his life recently. We are looking for an active family as Shadow loves his walks. We are also looking for a family where Shadow can be an only furbaby with a stay-at-home pet parent to help him adjust to his new family, home and environment. He has had so many changes of late that he deserves to be pampered and showered with all the attention he can get.
When transitioning to a new home, please allow 4-6 weeks for Shadow to adjust. He will need this time to decompress and adjust to a new routine, schedule, and environment. During this time, we will provide check-ins and suggestions to ensure a successful transition.
We take finding the right homes for our furbabies very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best. Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.
