Hiya! My name is Ashton & I am the most perfect 3yr old male German Shepherd you will ever meet! I am located near Middlesboro, Kentucky and am available for transport to my forever home!
My bio is a little more lengthy because there are so many things to share about me.
I was found by my incredible foster mom while I was limping along in the middle of the street. It took her some time to catch me and when she did, I slept for a full day because I was so exhausted.
I am house & kennel trained, I know several commands (sit, down, paw, "ok"), I walk nicely on a leash, I love to give kisses, & one of the best things of all... I am **CAT FRIENDLY!!!** I am pretty much indifferent to them, you can see in my videos! I'm also both large & small dog friendly. I'm such a laid back boy that I'm sure I'd get along with just about everyone!
I love to chew on my Kong or a chew bone my foster mom gives me. I'm still learning how to play with other toys. I love to cuddle up on the couch and just be with my person.
I have a low/medium energy level & need to stay that way. I enjoy about 2 20-minute walks each day with a few potty breaks in between.
All of these amazing qualities make me the perfect companion. I do need to share I have a medical condition. I have a Grade 4 Heart Murmur called Aortic Stenosis. I've been checked extensively by veterinarian professionals. My current state is inoperable and I'm not on any medication but I'm doing OKAY! They say I can live comfortably for 5-7 more years. I need to keep my activity level low so my heart doesn't have to work too hard.
With that being said, I have SO MUCH LOVE to give & desperately want a home that will love and care for me and make sure I have the best quality of life while I'm able.

***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION***
-ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted
-We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply
-All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered
-Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter
-An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog
-Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
-Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications
-All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time
-Not able to adopt? Consider FOSTERING one of our wonderful dogs!
