My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, everyone, my name is Dove and I was taken into the rescue when a local shelter reached out asking for help. I was being a bit of a brat when I was there and they asked if we could work with her.

Dove had just been spayed and we were hopeful that once her hormones had a chance to settle a new and improved little bun would emerge. Sadly, Dove is a tough customer and we certainly do not blame her as she was discarded outside and a matted mess when she arrived at the shelter. We will never know what was done to poor Dove but it was nothing good that we do know.

Dove is spayed, vaccinated and litterbox trained. She is 100% healthy but she definitely has a bunnytude. She is small and looks bigger in photos because of all her fur but she is only 2 1/2 lbs full grown. She will need an experienced adopter that is willing to allow her the patience and time she needs. We honestly do not know if Dove will ever let her past trauma go or if she will remain traumatized by her past but we do know she still deserves a loving forever home where she is saf and as loved as she will allow.

We know this is a hard case but would anyone be willing to give Dove her forever home?

Go meet their pets

All bunnies are kept in foster homes so please email us and we can make arrangements for you to meet.

More about this rescue

After fostering for over 20 years I decided it was time to open my own rescue. Bunnies are intelligent caring sensitive creatures who blossom in the right environment. They have much more spunk and personality than most people realize . You will be a convert once you have the chance to experience first hand how wonderful a compainon they can be.
