My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Simone, an American Pit Bull mix brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 2/29. She weighs 30 pounds and is about one year old. She has been on meds for a URI but is finishing up with her meds and getting healthy. Simone is a bit uneasy in the shelter. When walking on a leash, she is hesitant and especially so when walking past dogs barking at her. She is well mannered, and is a calm and sweet natured youngster. When she was away from her kennel with all the noise of the other dogs barking, she warmed up and relaxed. Her tail was wagging nonstop, and she became more spunky, though not overly so. She loves treats and is polite about taking them. She is an amiable pup, and had no issues whatsoever with me petting her and loving on her. She has a moderate activity level. Her ideal home is as follows: plenty of TLC, a couple of warm doggie beds strategically placed around the house, an inside life with her people and some yummy nutritious food!
