Chester is an almost 2 year old male Olde English Bulldog with a lot of puppy energy. He's a big boy at 80 pounds. He's a curious guy and loves to meet people, but can get a little startled at something he's never seen before and can get skittish at loud sounds. Some of his favorite things are those good scritches, long walks, and just being near his humans. He has lived with dogs, and we're told he gets along with cats. He's been very well behaved at dog parks and towards other dogs on walks.
He knows 'sit' and is housebroken, but can be subtle about letting you know when it's time to go. He can get a little too excited and has some trouble with manners, but is a smart boy who will learn quickly and his foster family has already seen good progress.
He's a very sweet, loving pup who will make a great companion for people with patience and time to work with him on his training. He'd do well in a household with another dog and older kids.

Adoption fees are based on the breed, health, age, and behavioral status of each dog. All dogs are microchipped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, flea/worm treated and have had a wellness exam before becoming adoptable. If you are interested in adopting a BHNW dog, please fill out the online application. If you are matched to the dog you are interested in or another dog in our program, you will be contacted by the foster family. Prior to adopting, there is a mandatory home evaluation to ensure your home and family are ready for that dog. We require a contract for all adoptions and there is a two-week trial to ensure a good match. If for any reason you can no longer care for the dog you adopted from us, that dog must be returned to our program.
