My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE Apr 19, 24: Jessie is now in a great foster home in Melbourne Florida. She is getting used to the life of freedom and learning what it's like to be in a safe place. She is a very cute, sweet, loving dog and loves to be near her humans. She is very raw spending her whole life in a kennel and needs lots of training but she is learning.

ORIGINAL: Meet Jessie, a sweet 7 month old pup with a tough start in life. Jessie and her sister Bo Peep ended up in a bustling, overwhelming shelter when their previous owners could no longer care for them. The chaotic environment has left Jessie feeling scared and confused, but her playful spirit still shines through. Despite the challenges, Jessie loves engaging in play with her sister and brothers, chasing after toys and balls. What she truly needs now is a loving home to provide the stability and care she deserves. In the right environment, we are sure Jessie will blossom into a confident and well-rounded companion, ready to share a lifetime of love and joy. Help turn Jessie's story around and give her the chance to experience the warmth of a true family. Jessie and Bo Peep can be adopted together or separately. Will be able to come to Florida with a committment of foster or foster to adopt. Apps can be found at ewenityfarmsbch.com..

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We have a virtual home-check process (don't forget to submit photos of the exterior of your home!) Adoption fees range depending on the age of the dog. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

Go meet their pets

Since all rescue dogs live in foster homes, there is no single facility to meet pups.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog after you have an approved app on file. Apps can be filled out at ewenityfarm.org

More about this rescue

We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
