My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sandy , the epitome of sweetness, love, and tranquility wrapped in fur! This adorable pupper is bursting with energy during playtime, but don't let that fool you; she's also a pro at snuggling up for some quality cuddle time once she tires herself out.

One of Sandy's favorite pastimes is frolicking outdoors, where she can let loose and soak up the sunshine. You'll often find her prancing around, her tail wagging with joy! And while she may not always be the most obedient when it comes to commands like "sit," her adorable antics more than make up for it.

At bedtime, Sandy is the perfect little angel, snoozing peacefully in her cozy crate all through the night.

If you're looking for a furry friend who embodies love, playfulness, and companionship, look no further than Sandy! Adopt her today, and let her sprinkle your life with endless joy and tail wags.

More about this rescue

PIPs key focus is dogs with special or medical needs (who we call Pip-abled), however, we have many non-PIP-abled dogs too! We made it easy to decipher PIP-abled verses non-PIP-able; simply look at each dogs picture and bio.

The Pioneers had a vision to take in the most urgent rescues no one else could which includes puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, dogs with special needs and medical cases in and around North Carolina. Our main purpose is to rescue as many dogs in need as we can with a special focus on special needs.
