Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello everyone! This is Brody and he is a Boxer mix. He is a very good boy and very quiet. He would be considered a medium activity dog that needs at least 2 walks a day, along with some fetch in the backyard! He loves tennis balls, fetch, and tug of war, and long walks most. He is house trained. He loves being outside but is an indoor dog. He is the definition of a large lap dog who will love you for life and he deserves a good forever home. If you are looking for a true bond, and a best friend Brody is your boy! Contact A New Leash on Life to set up a meet and greet today!
Temperament:
-Dogs: Great with other dogs.
-Cats: not sure, but with the proper introduction we suspect they could be very best friends.
-Small children: tolerates them, but I would not recommend he live in a home with them.
-Bond: Though he will do great with all other members of the family, he will bond with one person and they will be his forever.
Ideal home situations:
-A high, fenced in back yard big enough to throw a ball.
-A doggy door would be a plus.
Ideal Family situation:
-Active owners that like taking their dog on adventures.
-Empty nesters that want a big ole baby boi to enjoy their days with.
-Someone who works from home is a plus.
-A home with older children.
-A home with other dogs.

More about this rescue
A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
