What's up, humans? The name's Jackie, and I am one heck of a dog. I may only be 1 year old, but I've got some serious cuteness and energy to spare. Plus, my terrier mix genes make me a unique and one-of-a-kind pup. Just look at my pretty appearance - bet you can't resist those big, soulful eyes!

I'll let you in on a little secret: I'm a total social butterfly. Yep, I love spending time with my humans and doggy friends. In fact, I'm a pro at making new friends. More about this rescue

A.C.A. is a network of foster homes, an entity formed to help animals from Evansville Vanderburgh Animal Care and Control. Most of the animals in our foster care program have all come directly from EVACC.

We choose to pull from EVACC because of the thousands of great animals that come through the shelter each year. Thousands of cats and dogs (and some chickens, horses, and small furries) are relinquished to the shelter each year. Some are given up by owners, victims of hard times, or new living circumstances. A larger portion have come in as strays, found on the streets of Evansville, held for 7 days at the shelter for an owner to reclaim them, and then given a very short period of time in which to find an adoptive home before the kennel is needed again for the next animal that comes in.
