My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tav is a young hound looking for his next adventure. We're not sure what his life looked like before he arrived at Sarge's, but we do know he's ready for his forever home.

We suspect he is a young adult, but what we do know is he'd love some help with training.

Tav needs someone devoted to enhancing his life, teaching him the ropes of life, and providing him the stability he desperately needs.

Additional adoption info

We do our best to match the animal with the most suitable home possible. Sometimes adopters choose an animal that has needs beyond what they will be able to provide, and we'll recommend a different pet more suited to their home. We check landlord requirements, if any, and we check vet references. We may request a home visit for animals with special needs.

Go meet their pets

Our Adoption Center is open Tuesday-Friday, 11 to 4 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 3 PM. The public is welcome to visit during those hours. We do attend offsite special events and take some of our adoptable dogs. These are usually publicized via social media, www.facebook.com/sarges.

More about this rescue

Sarge’s animals are usually taken directly from the Haywood County Animal Control facility. They are all tested for heart worm or Feline Leukemia/FIV, given appropriate vaccinations and preventatives for heart worms and fleas, spayed/neutered and dogs are microchipped. They are socialized as time permits and many have been taught basic commands. We enjoy placing animals into loving and responsible homes, and we appreciate that our adopters have sought out rescue animals.
