My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gabe is an 8 month old male boxer mix weighting around 38lbs who came to us from our local shelter. He is a handsome boy who just needed some guidance to highlight his wonderful personality, so that's where we come in to play! For this guidance, he is currently enrolled in our "cell dog" training program to learn some basic commands as well as any additional socialization and basic puppy training that he may need. Typical of his breed and age, Gabe likes to play, so an active home with a fenced in yard would be ideal! He does well with other dogs and likes to be with people. He is a wonderful pup & we are excited for his next steps!
Gabe's adoption fee is $450.00 which will include his neuter, vaccines (including DHLPPC, Kennel Cough, Lyme disease, Rabies), deworming, heartworm/lyme testing (negative), Microchipping with lifetime registration and cell dog training.
If you want to meet Gabe with hopes to make him part of your family, be sure to FIRST apply on our website for approval: https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html

***100% of adoption fees go back to the animals and help provide for medical care for our rescues that need specialized medical care and surgeries.

*Note: Ideally, ALL members of the family (canine and human alike) should be present for any meet and greet unless otherwise specified/discussed.

Please remember that we are a board of entirely volunteers that have full time jobs as well as our rescue passion. So, be patient with us and check out our Facebook page for more information and photo updates: facebook.com/trhap2014You can visit our website at theroadhomeanimalproject.org

Go meet their pets

Since we are foster based and protect our fosters privacy, we usually meet at a public place such as our vets office. We arrange meet and greets on an individual basis.

More about this rescue

In 2014 a group of devoted volunteers worked diligently through the winter to rescue, rehab and rehome over 30 horses and several neglected dogs. After working together to successfully rehab and rehome them all, 6 of those volunteers decided to pull together resources and begin their own "volunteer based rescue" to aid in the rehabilitation and rehoming of animals of all kinds. We are a volunteer and foster based organization only, meaning we have no specific facility but work out of our homes to provide foster care, rehabilitation, evaluations, socialization and training for those animals in need.
