My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There's nothing quite like a sweet and loving dog's kindness and companionship, and then they put their beautiful heads quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm breath. These super-smart and loyal young dogs are so pure and vulnerable that it's unbearable to think of them being homeless or in an overcrowded shelter scheduled for euthanasia due to a lack of space.

Chloe is 2 years old and 30 lbs of pure love. She's been identified by Texas veterinarians as a Husky / Pomsky mix, as she is just a bit too small to be just Husky!

Chloe's foster mom had the following to say about this wonderful girl:
"What a gorgeous and dainty sweetheart Chloe is! She absolutely loves to be with her humans and interacts beautifully with other dogs. She’s a food motivated girl which makes training SO much easier. Sweet Chloe came to me with great manners and knows several commands like sit. Her owner surrendered her because they were moving into an apartment and they no longer had the time or space to care for Chloe."

Chloe is a gorgeous dog with great energy and a very lovable temperament. Now at 18 months old, she's a silly, fun- loving girl with a soft as cotton coat that you can't help stroking. Chloe's forever family will therefore need to make a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming and excellent nutrition (5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are perfect lifelong protocols for general longevity and hair care) to keep Chloe's coat super-healthy, matte-free and as soft as cotton.

Chloe is appropriately playful and inquisitive for her young age. She's also so loving and cuddly...this snuggly pup would be very excited to be a couch or bed dog and snuggle with her favorite people at the end of an active day. At just 18 months old, it's clear that this pup is SO smart and very engaging and social - very typical of both the Pomeranian and Husky personalities. Many would say these two breeds are among the most intelligent and intuitive in the dog world.

Since Chloe is just a young dog, she's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way. She has all the potential in the world to be an awesome adult companion and will form firm bonds with her family through virtual or in-person positive reinforcement obedience classes. These classes will make a profound difference in a dog's ultimate behavior and in her relationship and bonding with her people. It does take time and commitment yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you out in the world with excellent behavior.

Farfel's Rescue feels very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement / force-free training classes. We therefore aren't willing to adopt Chloe out to a home that doesn't choose to offer her this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement / force-free virtual and in-person trainers in your area.

We'd like Chloe to find her forever home with a retired couple or individual with lots of energy to train and enjoy a silly and super-smart young dog. A younger family that works from a home-based office would also be a great choice for a pup that would love nothing more than getting loved up periodically throughout the day. Chloe enjoys her relationships with all humans and dogs. We would prefer, however, to place her in a home with older kids as they can be active participants in a training regimen and friendship that's so important in a dog's development.

Chloe will be up to date on her vetting and vaccinations and has been spayed. This is in line with Farfel's commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs who won't contribute to the overpopulation crisis in the canine population.

Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet as can be, SO snuggly and super-loving dog. An adoption application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit.

**PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Chloe, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
