My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Glitter, a star in the making!

Glitter is a radiant girl who is ready to brighten your world with her happy personality and boundless puppy energy. Whether she’s dazzling you with her skills on an agility course or lighting up the room with her infectious enthusiasm, she is sure to leave a trail of sparkles wherever she goes!

As a young, energetic dog, Glitter will need training, toys and enrichment activities to keep her busy and engaged. She thrives on mental and physical stimulation, so be ready to provide her with plenty of opportunities to learn and explore. From structured training sessions to winding down with chewable enrichment, this bright pup is ready to have lots of fun with you! Glitter will always be prepared for any adventure you throw her way!

  • Glitter would benefit from an adopter who can provide training to become her best self!
  • Glitter’s ideal adopter would have an active lifestyle and can keep her busy with fun and exercise.
  • Children might be new for Glitter. An Admissions and Placement Specialist can help you explore if she’s the match you’re looking for!
  • An Admissions and Placement Specialist can give you tips to help set Glitter up for housetraining success.

*The ASPCA Adoption Center encourages a $150 suggested adoption fee when adopting an animal. This suggested adoption fee allows the ASPCA to continue our lifesaving work and help even more animals in need. We are grateful for any and all amounts given at the time of adoption.*

**The ASPCA is committed to prioritizing the health and safety of the community, the animals in our care and our staff, and we are keeping a close eye on developments related to the COVID-19 crisis as they evolve. As such, the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City is currently closed for in-person visitors. However, we are excited to offer remote adoptions using video conferencing! In-person meet-and-greets are also sometimes available or required for specific animals. Please check out our available cats and dogs above, and if one catches your eye, apply directly for him or her. An ASPCA Matchmaker will let you know if the animal you are interested in adopting is eligible for or requires an in-person meet-and-greet.

Please note: Adoption applications are handled in the order they are received and submitting an adoption survey does not constitute a hold or guaranteed adoption. You can expect to receive automated emails updating you on your adoption status as our Matchmakers go through applications. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you find your match!**

More about this shelter

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world. Our organization was founded by Henry Bergh in 1866 on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans, and must be protected under the law. Headquartered in New York City, the ASPCA maintains a strong local presence, and with programs that extend our anti-cruelty mission across the country, we are recognized as a national animal welfare organization. We are a privately funded 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, and proud to boast more than 1 million supporters across the country.
