Welcome these lovely brothers to your home and let them know what a forever home really means! Max, a tabby male, and Cherry, a tuxedo boy, are siblings who shared a home since kittenhood, only to lose it 5 years later when their mom’s living situation changed. Like so many feline sibling pairs, there’s a Yin and Yang symbiosis to their relationship. Cherry is the high energy one, active and playful. Bold and independent, happy to chase his brother, Max, and occasionally steal his food, Cherry is a bit unsure about humans … until you prove your worth. He is shy with strangers but, once he trusts you, he’ll seek affection, cuddle on your chest, and sleep with you. Max is more outgoing with people, eager for attention. He loves to be petted, picked up and cuddled, and is a veritable lap cat. On the more mellow side, he does enjoy playing with his brother – they both are fans of ball toys – though he often enjoys just chilling.
Both very sweet cats who should be adopted together, Max & Cherry are easy and low maintenance. Both are negative for FIV and FeLV, neutered, and up-to-date on their vaccinations. To adopt these brothers, email adopt@kittykind.org.

All cats and kittens are vaccinated and tested for FELV (feline leukemia) and FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), and if old enough, are neutered or spayed.
We will ask you some questions about your home and we will be glad to answer any questions you may have. Adopting a pet is a long-term commitment. We ask you to sign the KittyKind Adoption Agreement.
We will always take a cat back FOR ANY REASON. We will also work with you to place her in another good home if (after a period of adjustment) the adoption doesn't work out.
We do ask for a $125 adoption fee to help cover some of our food and veterinary expenses. For certain purebred cats (Siamese, Persian, Maine Coon, etc.), we request a $150 - $300 adoption fee.

KittyKind is a New York City not-for-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer cat rescue and adoption group. All of us at KittyKind have opened our hearts and homes — and emptied our pockets — to save thousands of cats from neglect or abuse. Every cat we rescue is given food, shelter, medical care, a safe place to lay his or her head and most importantly of all, a reason to purr. We are dedicated to relieving their suffering, providing food, shelter, medical care and comfort until we can place them in a safe and loving home.
