Poor giant-size Jordan was struggling to compete for food in a colony of 30 cats. He's happy to be inside with lots of food and comfy places to sleep. Jordan deserves all the luxury!
Jordan is not only beautiful, he's a truly wonderful companion. He's very social and affectionate. He acclimates to new environments pretty quickly. He gets along with other friendly cats, and can also be the only cat in your home.
Jordan is FIV positive and FeLV negative. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is a lentivirus, like HIV, that affects cats around the world. FIV is only contagious among cats and difficult to transmit. It is also slow-acting, so cats generally do not show any symptoms until years after being infected. The amount of time it takes for the virus to make a cat become immune compromised can vary, but once symptomatic, FIV positive cats are more vulnerable to contracting other diseases. However, with the proper care, FIV positive cats can live healthy, happy lives.

All cats and kittens are vaccinated and tested for FELV (feline leukemia) and FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), and if old enough, are neutered or spayed.
We will ask you some questions about your home and we will be glad to answer any questions you may have. Adopting a pet is a long-term commitment. We ask you to sign the KittyKind Adoption Agreement.
We will always take a cat back FOR ANY REASON. We will also work with you to place her in another good home if (after a period of adjustment) the adoption doesn't work out.
We do ask for a $125 adoption fee to help cover some of our food and veterinary expenses. For certain purebred cats (Siamese, Persian, Maine Coon, etc.), we request a $150 - $300 adoption fee.

KittyKind is a New York City not-for-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer cat rescue and adoption group.
