My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruby loves her people, other dogs and does well with cats, too. Ruby is a part of our Sit, Stay, Adopt program which means that she will have post adoption supports and her adoption fee is waived. Ruby is fearful of new situations/people and needs an owner who allows her to take things slowly and understands that some dogs need tools for success. Ruby's foster has nothing but terrific things to say about her and has also worked to have her muzzle trained. Utilizing a basket muzzle for Ruby will help her to grow her confidence safely in new places and in the vet office. We're excited for Ruby to continue to grow into a confident canine. Are you the person to help her get there?

Additional adoption info

Please come in and visit with our pets available for adoption. Once you find an animal you would like to adopt, you will be asked to fill out an adoption survey and meet with an adoption counselor. We do require landlord approval and we do not adopt out animals to live completely outside. Our adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under 5 years old and $55 for those 5 years and older.

More about this shelter

The shelter has very active volunteer and foster programs. Volunteers walk dogs and help with cat care. Fosters take young, shy and injured animals into their homes to prepare them for adoption. Learn more on our website and consider getting involved today!
