My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi. Im Laurel. I’m a gorgeous gray and white female just under two years old. I’m a playful little girl who is very talkative. I like to rub between your legs walking in and out giving you lots of love. I really enjoy back rubs and being talked to! I am very independent though and do like my space. I woukd do great with an experienced kitty owner. Who knows how to watch for cues that I may be done getting attention. I love to sleep at the foot of your bed or in your chair near you. My foster family laughs because sometimes I will walk into the shower with them. I don’t care if I get wet. Sometimes I like to sit on a stool or chair or counter in the kitchen and just be near my foster family. I had a bit of a rough start in my life and was being hurt by some children on the sidewalk. My foster mom thinks this is why I’m a little bit. Nervous around kids. I’ve been living with dogs, older kids and cats, but we think I would do best as an only pet or with just one other non-dominant kitty in the home. When I’ve been around the younger kittens in my foster home, I will try to take care of them, but I also hiss at them. I’d really love a family who can be patient and give me time to get comfortable in their home. I am a very loving girl. I just need time to warm up.
