Someone dumped five puppies on the side of the road :( Luckily, a couple of good samaritans saw them and took them in. Now they're healthy, vaccinated, and ready to find forever families. The vet estimates they were born in late-January and will be small dogs, as they were only 6-9 pounds at ten weeks old. They are super happy puppies who love attention, are eating and drinking well, and have started leash training. You can find more videos and pictures at the Facebook page their rescuer created: https://www.facebook.com/people/Fab-5-Rescue-Puppies/61557697131199
Here is what Pepe's foster mom has to say about him: "Pepe is the sweetest little puppy (and the runt of the litter at 6.2 lbs on April 3). He loves to hug, cuddle and get his belly rubbed. You can't help but hug him when you pick him up. Pepe is good with baths and nail trimming, never a hassle. He will follow you wherever you go. I'm still teaching him not to be underfoot. He wants to be as close as he can be but doesn't understand that he can't be touching you when you are walking. :)"
For adoption inquiries (**or if you can temporarily foster from late-May to early-July**), please contact Deb at debconfer@gmail.com or 614-746-0938. Pepe is available for adoption on- and off-island.
