Someone dumped five puppies on the side of the road :( Luckily, a couple of good samaritans saw them and took them in. Now they're healthy, vaccinated, and ready to find forever families. The vet estimates they were born in late-January and will be small dogs, as they were only 6-9 pounds at ten weeks old. They are super happy puppies who love attention, are eating and drinking well, and have started leash training. You can find more videos and pictures at the Facebook page their rescuer created: https://www.facebook.com/people/Fab-5-Rescue-Puppies/61557697131199
Here is what Dante's rescuer has to say about him: "Dante was very shy at first. He didn't know he could trust humans after being thrown away at such a young age. He seemed to be the leader of the litter. Maybe he was the first born. All the other pups followed him when we were trying to catch them. But now Dante is very lovable. When you pick him up he cuddles right into your arms. He absolutely loves being held. He will even make little happy noises. He sometimes gets a little too rough when playing with the smaller puppies but if you say his name he will stop. Dante does not like his picture taken. So every time I try he looks sad. The best picture I have of him is when he is playing and doesn't know. He is actually a very handsome pup. Dante weighed in at 8.2 lbs at the vet on April 3."
