Buddy is a magnificent 3-year old male Great Dane who was surrendered by his owner on February 6, 2024.
Buddy has a tan short smooth coat with cream-colored highlights on his chest and paws, extra-long legs, a long curled tail, and a classic Great Dane face with black shading around his dark brown eyes, black shading on his large muzzle, and large floppy ears.
These photos were taken on March 3, 2024 when HSOV Volunteer/Former Humane Officer Fredley Tynan assisted Buddy with his photo session on a bright sunny afternoon. Buddy posed like a Westminster show dog thanks to Fredley's expertise, and she treated him to a long walk afterwards as a reward for good behavior.
Buddy weighs 85 lbs and is strong on the other end of leash. Buddy has already been neutered.
Buddy had an unfortunate incident on February 6th when someone other than his owner walked past a room where Buddy was being housed which startled/frightened him and he reacted by biting that individual on the arm. Buddy was quarantined for the mandatory 10-day period, and there have been no other incidents while in our shelter.
We'd suggest that Buddy would do best with an experienced handler and preferably someone who is familiar with the Great Dane breed.
