My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sparkles! Sparkles is a beautiful 2-year-old brown tabby with a gentle soul and a soft spot for feline friends. Originally adopted as a kitten, Sparkles was recently returned to the shelter through no fault of her own—her previous family could no longer physically care for her. Life in the shelter has been tough for Sparkles, and she’s currently on behavioral medication to help her cope with stress. She’s shy around people, but truly blossoms in the company of other cats—she’s definitely a cat’s cat. If you have a friendly resident cat, Sparkles would love to be their companion.
Sparkles enjoys quiet moments by the window, chasing toys, and tasty treats. She needs a calm, dog-free home without young children (under 13), and most importantly, a family who understands that trust takes time. With patience, love, and another cat buddy, Sparkles has the potential to be a truly special part of your family. To meet Sparkle, complete an online application at www.washingtonpashelter.org or visit during walk through hours on Tuesday 1pm - 7pm and Wednesday through Saturday 1pm - 4pm.
