My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there everyone! My SOCA name is Leif, but I answer to the name Zeus. The truth is, I was adopted as a puppy back in 2018 and recently surrendered back to the rescue due to one of my owner's passing away. I grew up and was raised with 4 kids and I adore them. In fact, sometimes I think I am a lap dog. I love humans so much that I will follow you around the house, even in the bathroom.

Since SOCA has taken me back I have been in a foster home with kids and other dogs. I did test positive for heartworms, and the rescue is currently treating me for it. Don't worry, my heart can still love!! I absolutely love people, and I'm a total cuddle bug. I'll let you pet and love on me for as long as you wish! Some of my hobbies include: playing with toys, running around outside, getting belly rubs, and giving kisses. If you are looking for a super cuddly and loving gentle giant who will always be happy to see you, apply for me today! My adoption fee is $200 locally in Houston, TX. I am up to date on my vaccines, neutered and microchipped. As I mentioned, the rescue will be sponsoring my heartworm treatment.

Fill out an app to meet me. Remember, I love everyone!

Additional adoption info

With an approved application, applicants are considered for the pet they have applied for. Our goal is to make the best match for both the adopting family and the pet. Applications are NOT considered on a first come first served basis. Following an initial meet and great, potential adopters must pass a home inspection and sleepovers are strongly encouraged to ensure a perfect fit. Upon approval, the adoptive family is required to pay a fee and sign an adoption agreement. Fees are $200 for a puppy under a year and $150 for adults and include spay/neuter, current vaccines, microchip and many wonderful years of companionship.
