This lovely young girl stole our hearts when we saw her in a dog-test video for another dog we were pulling from a southern shelter. Although she is much too young and active for our senior rescue, her sweet and submissive nature made her an easy addition to our pack. She has been a good friend to the dogs (and tolerant cats) here, but Hermione needs much more than we're able to provide. She is super smart and likes to keep busy, so she will need an active family who wants to have fun training a working pup. While she may not be a good candidate for herding sheep or cows, Hermione would likely excel at basic training, agility, and maybe even sniffer dog work. She is treat motivated but also just loves positive attention and affection.

Hermione has done great with house and crate training, is friendly with new dogs, friendly but maybe a little "much" for cats, loves meeting new people, rides well in the car, is relatively quiet, and is soft and kissy. Sadly she is heartworm positive, and will undergo treatment at the end of March. If she's adopted before then like we're hoping, her family will just have to bring her to our vet in Hanover; treatment costs are covered by the rescue. She is otherwise healthy and fully vetted.
