Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maya was found abandoned and wandering at the Honda Center in Anaheim and is now in a loving foster home! She loves catnip toys, chin scratches, playing in a paper bag, people/bird watching out the window, and just about any food she encounters. She enjoys being brushed, is chatty to let you know she wants something, and will make biscuits & snuggle on your lap. Her current daily routine includes a lot of sleeping and relaxing - she'll keep you company whenever you are at home! Maya has limited hearing, so she really needs to be in a quiet, cat-savvy home where everyone is over the age of 12.
Please come see her and the other cats that are available at the PetSmart store in The District Shopping Center in Tustin (2237 Park Avenue). Adoptions are by Appointment and on Saturdays from 1-3pm.
You can get pre-approved for your adoption! Just visit our website and submit your application online: http://www.oc-arc.com/adoptions/how-to-adopt/
When you choose to adopt one of OCARC's animals, the adoption donation is $175. Each of our cats and kittens has been:
- Microchipped
- Spayed or neutered
- Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia)
- Tested for FIV (Feline Aids)
- De-flead (topical Revolution or Advantage)
- De-wormed (tape and round worms)
- Given their first FVRCP vaccination:
We keep all our kitties current on their FVRCP vaccines so depending on the age of the kitty when you adopt him or her and how long we've had the kitty, the vaccine series may be complete. If not, you as the adopter will be responsible for any further vaccinations in the series.
- Rabies Vaccination when age appropriate
These services would usually cost more than $500. Of course, an adoption donation of more than $175 is always welcome, since we often provide additional medical care such as x-rays, blood panels, treatment for ears, eyes, upper respiratory infections and viruses.

More about this rescue
The Orange County Animal Rescue Coalition is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization whose purpose is to promote humane and quality of life for all animals, rescue animals in need, reduce pet overpopulation and provide pet adoption services. As we grow, we are always hopeful to find caring volunteers to either help with cleaning cages, keeping our cats well socialized and assisting with adoptions. We also need volunteers who are interested in fostering bottle-fed babies, weaned kittens and adults who are injured or need medical care.
