My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepper was found in someone's yard crying and all alone. She was taken in by her foster human and became playmates with Pumpkin. Pepper is on the smaller side and less adventurous than Pumpkin. She is very sweet and loves to snuggle. She also loves to play with her toys.

Pepper has been diagnosed with a Peritoneopericardial Diaphragmatic Hernia (PPDH). A peritoneopericardial diaphragmatic hernia is an abnormal opening between the pericardial sac and the peritoneal cavity. Pepper was diagnosed after a heart murmur was noted during a routine examine. We followed up with an ultrasound and then a consult with a cardiac specialist who diagnosed her condition. This is a condition requiring specialized surgery. Pepper currently has a consult with Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine on March 20, 2024. At that time she may be able to have the surgery.Available for adoption from Kitty Kat Haven and Rescue
