My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

RUSTY is a BEAUTIFUL purebred RED Cocker Spaniel. He was an owner surrender due to lifestyle change of his owner. He is sweet (non-alpha) boy. He loves head rubs and cuddles. He gets along well with other dogs. However, he is too interested in the cats and don't recommend co-housing with a cat. He is well mannered and seems housetrained, but we rarely guarantee this.

HEALTH: He currently weighs 27 lbs. We did blood work on him. Doc says it is normal and he is good health. He said he is still a bit underweight and to keep him on vitamins and good food.

RUSTY has a common ailment of most cockers, he has dry eye that is maintained thru meds.

TEMPERAMENT: Rusty is sweet boy and eager to please. He is not a barker and would like a home where his person can take him for daily short walks.

POTTY HABITS: RoRescue NEVER guarantees perfect potty habits. Age or breed has no bearing on potty training habits. Most rescue dogs are NOT potty trained due to negligence of the former owner. RoRescue tries their best to encourage good potty habits, but the adopter will need to continue this type of training. If you are not OK with this, please refrain from sending an inquiry.

RoRescue adopts their dogs as INDOOR pets, with sufficient supervised outdoor exercise time.

RoRescue requires a secure yard and safe environment for this dog.

We do NOT adopt to out-of area or out of state locations.

ALL RORESCUE DOGS are vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped and UTD on shots. Although tests are costly, If our veterinarian feels a Full blood panel/Valley Fever/Tick Fever/Heartworm testing needs to be done, we do it. We work hard to provide the dog with a healthy and happy future, but we are not infallible. However, if no symptoms are present that require tests, they are NOT customarily done. Please speak to your veterinarian about this.
