My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Scruffy, adorable Sarah came to H2H with her brother Teddy when their owner was not in compliance with local zoning laws which prohibits more than three dogs in the home.  They were well loved and enjoyed the company of a large pack of dogs.
Therefore, Sarah should be adopted with her brother Teddy or go to a home with another friendly, canine companion.  Although Sarah shares her foster home wih other dogs and has lived in a large pack previously, she seems to be independent and would be happy as an only dog, too.  Sarah has also lived with cats .  Sarah likes to sleep against her person at night. She always reacts to her name being called even if she's playing.  Whatever you do, don't call her 'late to dinner'. She loves to eat!  She doesn't like to be disturbed by other dogs when she is resting or eating. Sarah should not go to a home with small children as she's never been raised with any.  She isn't aggressive - just becomes very nervous around little people.

Sarah is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventative.   She is patiently waiting for someone to offer her a loving forever home.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!

Additional adoption info

Filling out an application is the first step. An online application is located on Haven to Home's homepage. Application, references, home visit and adoption fee are required to adopt one of our dogs. Due to the severe overpopulation of dogs in this country Haven to Home believes that responsible pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Therefore it is our policy not to adopt our dogs to people who do not have their current animals spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason. Adoption fees are listed on our website.
