My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ALFIE**31 POUND MALE 6 MONTH OLD PIT BULL/HOUND MIX

Alfie is located in the Richmond VA area. If you are interested in Alfie, please go to www.momsva.org and complete an application.

Hey There!

My name is Alfie! I’m a sweet, affectionate, bouncy puppy, about 6 months old, and I love to have fun! I was rescued from a local shelter which was really scary, but now I am safe! I am learning so many new things in my foster home.

No one ever spent any time with me to show me the things I need to know so I am now learning how to be the best puppy I can be!

I have mastered crate training, no accidents here, although I would rather be out of the crate and playing! Sometimes I get a little anxious in my crate when I am all alone, so my foster brother Spencer keeps me company. I think I would like a home that has a sweet, playful, well-mannered adult dog that already knows the rules so they can help teach me. I do love to play with other dogs!

I like playing with my toys, running around the yard, and going for walks. My foster mom says I am not too bad on leash, but I could definitely use a positive obedience training class to help me focus when learning my new skills! My foster mom says it is so important (training) and a must as it will also help me bond with my new family.

I am a bit mouthy right now, puppies often explore with their mouths, so older (8+) respectful kids are best.

I am all puppy and will require lots of time, patience, positive training methods, and exercise so if you don’t have that time to put into me to help me grow, I am probably not the right pup for you!

If now is the right time and you are looking to add to your family, please go to www.momsva.org and complete an application.
