My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello everyone, my name is Delmar! As you can see, I'm a little different from other kitties. I was found outside freezing and starving by a nice woman who called to get me help. I was born without the radial bones in my two front legs. I was seen by an orthopedic specialist who told my foster mom that since I was born like this, I don't know anything different. I can run, jump, play and go up stairs just like any other cat! I'm still a little skittish, but have made a lot of progress since coming to my foster home. I LOVE to be pet and get belly rubs - I purr like crazy. I get along with other calm cats.

Delmar was born on November 25, 2022. She is currently being fostered in Ansonia. She is fixed, is up-to-date on shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV*.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

Applications for adoption can be found at https://www.fosterandforever.org/

Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24 - 48 hrs.

We are a foster based rescue. All our cats reside in private homes. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for approved adopters only.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is for you to fill out an adoption application which can be found on our website, www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our staff members.

****Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are at a reduced price in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Foster and Forever Pet Rescue!

More about this rescue

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc, is a registered 501 (c) (3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services, all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies and more and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes.
