Hi everyone! My name is Merry, and I just wanted to make sure that y’all know that I am looking for my furever home. Yep, that’s right. Can you believe that no one has snatched me up yet? All of us pups in my family have been in our awesome foster home since we were born. So we’ve waited for weeks to get big enough and ready to get adopted. And now my brother and sisters and I are waiting for our furever homes. Just so you know, I am a GREAT pup. I am happy all the time, and my foster mom says I am very “social”. I guess she says that because I love everyone. (I usually take a moment to make sure you’re an okay person first.) I love my foster family and I really love playing with the other puppies and all the big dogs. I love being held and cuddled. But what I really really want most is to move on to what my foster mom says will be my “furever home”. I want a place where I can stay forever with people who want ME! So are you looking for a great pup? If so, I am your girl! I am living with my foster family in Eatonton (GA), but I am ready to pack my bags and move to my furever home.
Merry’s mom is a 55-60 pound sweetheart (possibly Black Mouth Cur and Boxer), and dad is unknown. But whatever breed mix Merry is, she’s a cutie! Merry and her littermates are happy, social pups. Merry will be current on her vetting before adoption – she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines worming and preventatives. Merry deserves someone who can lavish time and energy on her, and who will make sure that they can give her plenty of exercise and play time, and training. Her new family should also have time to focus on socialization and training to make sure that Merry is the best family member she can be. If you currently have family pets, please note that our rescue requires that our adopters’ current pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives, and spayed or neutered.

This little girl is a sweetheart who would be a good fit for a family with or without other dogs and with or without children. When you submit your application, it is best to do so via a computer. We have experienced some problems when applications have been submitted using a mobile device. When you submit the application, you are not obligated to adopt; however, it does put you in the queue for the puppy that you are interested in. In the application, you can specify a particular dog in which you are interested, or let us know what type of pet in which you are looking, so we can find the perfect animal to fit your family and your needs. Once the application is received, a board member will review the application, and make contact with the potential adopter within 48 hours. This initial contact may include further questions/more information, or may include scheduling a meet and greet for you to meet the animal in which you are interested! Once the application is approved or the meet and greet goes well, then the adoption can be finalized. To finalize the adoption, an adoption agreement must be completed, the adoption fee paid (we accept cash, paypal, or credit/debit card), and then the potential adopter can take their new family member home with them or schedule pick up of their furry family member! The adoption fee varies based on the animal. Some of our animals have the fees listed in their individual post but if you do not see one then please feel free to contact us and we would be happy to let you know the cost to adopt a particular pet. Furever After Rescue, a 501(c)(3) organization, is a no-kill, foster-based rescue devoted to finding homes for animals needing a loving home. Most of our animals come from local, high-kill shelters with some occasionally coming from bad situations and owner surrender. Our animals are immediately placed in foster homes where they learn love and are taught how to live in a home environment. All of our animals are up-to-date on their age-appropriate vetting needs and are tested for personality traits as best as possible. We have many wonderful pets looking for forever homes!
We are currently based out of Macon, GA but partner with a quality private transport group that helps us get our furbabies to homes up and down the east coast so don't let distance deter you from contacting us about one of our furry friends!
